You may or may not have seen the huge Internet Pre Launch of Web Prosperity over the past few weeks.
Web Prosperity was touted to be the next best thing to sliced bread.
With promises of bleeding edge software available to the marketer such as Contact – The Best Newsletter and Autoresponder for eMarketing, Meeting -intuitive web conferencing, Media – easy audio and video sharing, Finder – monitor and learn about your organization, and last but not least the Address Book – keeping your contacts close to you.
The user was invited to sign up for the pre launch and lock in their position, with promises of great wealth and abundance. No money was requested at this point in time. Users were bombarded with promo email during this time, saying that over 50,000 people had signed up already and if you hadn’t signed up, you should! The adverts stated that once pre launch was over you had to hand over your credit card – no trial period allowed whatsover.
The pre launch countdown clock reached zero, and surprise surprise the pre launch was extended for another week to allow more people to sign up or perhaps it was to iron out the bugs in their system?
There have been some excellent articles written on Web Prosperity, Randy Enman over at Better Network got under the skin of some of David D’Arcangelo’s followers and a great debate took place over there.
Randy wrote a follow up article after one of the users exposed how good the program and software really was.
From all reports, the refund desk at Web Prosperity is running red hot at the moment.
One of the best business internet scams of 2009?
